Dennis Murphy, Marty Costello, Commander of the Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 418 along with other members wanted to pay tribute to one of Radnor’s own “still missing” Warrant Officer Donald D. Burris, Jr. who flew the UH-1Z Huey helicopter in Vietnam. Date of Loss 12/22/1969.
On June 14, 2021, Flag Day a POW/MIA National Chair Of Honor was unveiled in the renovated lobby of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Headquarters.
Colleen Shine, the daughter of Lt. Col. Anthony C. Shine, USAF (Missing in Action from 1972-1996), Ralph W. Galati (former Vietnam POW) and Kelly McKeague (Director, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency).
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has now placed three POW/MIA Chairs of Honor. First at their Honolulu Facility on February 7, 2020 and then in their Omaha Lab February 25, 2020.
On a rainy Thursday, August 26, 2021 took Joe F. D'Entremont, founder of Rolling Thunder® Inc. Mass Chapter 1 along with his wife Donna to visit Citizens Bank new head quarters at 200 Station Drive, Westwood, MA where a POW/MIA Chair Of Honor had been unveiled on November 16, 2020.
For some unknown reason Joe D had not been invited by his Rolling Thunder® Chapter to this dedication? Before suffering his stroke Joe D was personally been responsible for the placing of over One Hundred POW/MIA National Chairs of Honor in the Boston, Mass area.
How this Chair Of Honor placement came about:
A few years before met Ginny Briggs Wisnewski, a manager of a Citizens Bank branch in NJ at the Cpl. Michael J. Crescenz VAMC in Philadelphia during “Stand Down”.
I shown her their POW/MIA Chair of Honor placed in the lobby explaining what this “One Empty Seat” means to the Families of those “still missing” US service personal.
Ginny went back to Citizens Bank Corporate with this information and a Chair of Honor was placed at their new headquarters at Westwood, MA.
Since my first visit to the Crazy Horse Memorial® in South Dakota meeting Ruth Ziolkowski, wife of Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski (WWII Veteran) have been a donor to help protect and preserve the culture, traditions and living heritage of all North American Indians.
Kirk J. David, Jr. Stewardship Officer for the Crazy Horse Memorial® visited me some time ago thanking me for my support and I approached Kirk about the possibility of placing a POW/MIA National Chair Of Honor at the Memorial.

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day September 17, 2021 the City of Sea Isle City New Jersey unveiled their POW/MIA National Chair Of Honor.
Mayor Leonard C. Desiderio along with Captain Ralph W. Galati USAF (Shot down 16 February 1972 flying a F-4 Phantom. Released 28 March 1973) unveiled this meaningful memorial.
“This Empty Chair will serve as an instant reminder of all the sacrifices made for 'Our Country' by these still missing U.S. service personnel who have for too long been forgotten by all but their immediate families and some close friends”.
September 21, 2021 a POW/MIA Chair Of Honor dedication took place at the Springfield Township Building, 50 Powell Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
Unveiling this meaningful memorial were Richard Debany, Post Commander, Springfield American Legion Post 227, Springfield Township Police Chief Joseph J. Daly (USMC Vietnam) and guest speaker Ralph W. Galati, Captain, U.S.A.F., former Vietnam POW, Shot Down: 2/16/1972, Released: 3/28/1973.
A Chair of Honor is very simple yet POWERFUL, it's a single black chair with the POW/MIA Logo on it which is then flanked by the American Flag and the POW/MIA Flag. Along with the Chair is a plaque that states since WWII over 81 thousand servicemen remain unaccounted for. This chair is in their honor until they come home. They will not be FORGOTTEN.
At the Concord Township Council meeting on October 5, 2021 there was a special ceremony to honor those US service personal “still missing”, over 81,000, their families and loved ones.
This POW/MIA Chair Of Honor was unveiled by Council Member John J. Gillespie and Ralph W. Galati, Captain, U.S.A.F., former Vietnam POW.

Still missing and unaccounted for; active DPAA case, his name is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall: Panel 5E, line 38 and Col. Michael C. Lane, US Air Force, Vietnam POW, Silver Star unveiled this meaningful memorial, the POW/MIA National Chair Of Honor.
Col. Michael C. Lane was interned as a Prisoner of War in North Vietnam’s Hanoi Hilton after he was shot down on December 2, 1966, and was held Seven years until his release on February 18, 1973.
