Rusty Carter who while serving with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan was injured when his Humvee crashed while returning from a mission, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Lt. Col. Steve Miller ( center ) is a member of the 119th Fighter Squadron of the Air National Guard and in 2010 they were deployed to Balad, Iraq and became part of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing which is the 'Tuskegee Airman.
